 Jamik Mosque

Jamik Mosque is located on the main street of Bengkulu city and is a memento from President Sukarno during his exile and also as an architect, building a mosque that is still actively used in this Pyramid shaped roof and described the marriage of local culture, thionghoa culture and Islamic culture. The mosque is situated at the end of the road Soeprapto right in the center of the city of Bengkulu.

The mosque is located at an altitude of 20 m above sea level. Located 1.2 km from Fort Marlborough, with a 112o angle (Darmansyah 2002). In 1938, the mosque building was redesigned by Mr. Sukarno, who cost borne by the communities themselves. Mr. Sukarno gave characteristic on the roof with roofing Limasan cone shape by providing a gap in the middle of the roof as an architectural touch of its own.
